Start: 2009-11-25
Academic Brain - Well-Being Day at the University of Helsinki on Wednesday 25 November 2009
The Student Union of the University of Helsinki, HYY, will organise a well-being day at the University of Helsinki on Wednesday, 25 November 2009. During the day, students and university personnel are encouraged to consider their own coping, resources, studying ability and possibilities to improve them under the theme Academic Brain.
In the lecture Akateemiset aivot - estääkö kiire luovan aivotyöskentelyn? ('Academic brain - does hurry prevent creative brain work?') Research Professor Kiti Müller covers the well-being of the brain. Are you stressed out, stuck or tired due to lack of sleep? In order for the brain to be creative, you should take care of the well-being of your brain in the 24/7 society of today. The audience has the possibility to present questions. The lecture is free and open for everyone. You are warmly welcome to advance the well-being of your brain!
HYY organises the well-being day in cooperation with the Finnish Student Health Service FSHS, University Sports Services, UniCafe, the educational work of the Parish Union of Helsinki, the Association for Healthy Lifestyles and the Student Support Centre Nyyti.
